Former IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion to produce event.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced via their Medium.com page and Japanese website that junior heavyweight star Taiji Ishimori will produce a “Super Hero Taiji Ishimori Gets Ridiculous” event on November 12 from Shinjuku Face, Tokyo, Japan. The show will mark NJPW’s first appearance at Shinjuku Face since a series of Lion’s Gate Project events in 2018.
The promotion provided few details for the event, but this will be the second wrestler-produced event held by NJPW after El Desperado produced the “Despe Invitacional” in early June. The card was intentionally kept unknown with matches announced as the event played out.
Taiji Ishimori last competed for NJPW on September 11 on night four of the Road to Destruction tour, unsuccessfully challenging DOUKI for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight championship.
