JBL believes we will see Wade Barrett back in the squared circle.
During an episode of Huge Pop, JBL was asked about the possibility of seeing the former Intercontinental Champion, Wade Barrett back in a WWE ring for the first time since 2016. JBL knows about transitioning after he went from his legendary career to the commentary booth in 2006.
“He’s still young. He was a good worker. Yeah, I think he probably will. If I were him, do it. You have all of your life to do commentary. You don’t have all your life to get into the ring. If I’m him, if you still have the urge, just try it. If it doesn’t work out, so what, go back to commentary. If it does, you’ve got something, and then go back to commentary,” said JBL.
Barrett has teased getting into the ring a couple of times after being confronted by his good friend, Drew McIntyre who is preparing for his Hell in a Cell match with CM Punk at Bad Blood.
