NOAH’s Kenoh set to face YAMATO for Open The Dream Gate Championship
YAMATO’s next defense made official.
On October 4, during DragonGate Pro Wrestling’s The Gate of Victory night one event at Korakuen Hall, after a six-man tag match in which YAMATO teamed with Susumu Yokosuka & Kagetora to defeat U-T, Kzy, and Strong Machine J, Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Kenoh came to the ring to make a challenge for the promotion’s top belt.
Made official for November 3 at the annual Gate of Destiny event at EDION Arena in Osaka, Japan, the match will be YAMATO’s third defense of the Open the Dream Gate title after defeating Ben-K for it in late July. Former GHC Heavyweight champion and 2024 N-1 Victory finalist, Kenoh, will be making his fifth appearance in a DragonGate ring after appearing last to team with Masaaki Mochizuki to defeat Shuji Kondo & Don Fuji in 2023.
The Open the Dream Gate championship is DragonGate’s top title, having existed since the promotion’s inception in 2004. This is YAMATO’s sixth time holding the title while Kenoh has the potential to become the first Pro Wrestling NOAH contracted talent to become top champion in the promotion.
