Motor City Machine Guns Are Here
In what feels like a parallel universe, The Motor City Machine Guns aren’t under a TNA banner anymore, they’re under a WWE banner. It’s been long speculated that the duo were coming to WWE after quietly signing with the company. Then, it was reported they were set for the SmackDown brand before vignettes starts last week. With no mention of their name or likeness, it was sure to be them with the Detroit background in the teaser. Now tonight, SmackDown ran another vignette confirming it all, with “MCMG” and “Next Week” flashing on the screen. So, it looks like they’re keeping their tag team name, at least.
Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have been a staple in wrestling since the early 2000’s. From Ring Of Honor and various other independent promotions, to TNA mainstays and multi-time Tag Team and singles champions respectively in TNA, it felt like they were over looked and under appreciated as one of the best Tag Teams of all time. Now, they get a shot in WWE and it all starts next week. It was also teased that their first match will be against Angel and Humberto, Los Garzas.
