Shelton Benjamin vs. Lio Rush
A highly anticipated debut for Shelton Benjamin took place on AEW Dynamite when he went one on one with Lio Rush. Shelton started off by showing he’s indeed still got it, and can keep up with the speed of Lio. But, Rush continues to fight and started to turn the tide. Lio hit a big cutter and tried to follow up with a frog splash, but Shelton countered it.
Both men continued to battle back and forth until Shelton hit a massive German duplex, sending Lio the entire way across the ring. Twice. Shelton drilled him with a nasty sidekick to the face, following it up with a T-Bone duplex for the win.
After the match, MVP sent a message to Swerve Strickland that he should’ve reconsidered his answer from WrestleDream. Says now, Shelton vs Swerve.
