AEW Dynamite Results & Review (October 16th, 2024)

On October 16th, 2024 AEW aired the 263rd episode of Dynamite live in San Jose California inside SAP Center.

Note: This review will be shorter then normal as it be the last few mins of the match.

-Kicking off this week’s Dynamite with highlights of the ending of WrestleDream with commentary from Jon Moxley leaving the arena talking about hating what AEW has become with egos being out of control and celebrating when there is no need for celebration and he can’t stand it anymore. Moxley talks about doing what has to be done they can see a better future and make it happen. If you want to come with them, you can, if you don’t, run while you can, stand down while you can and tell them to get out of the way. What’s the need to know for those in AEW? He asks what the new paradigm is and that is what you work for now as we see he was talking to Wheeler Yuta.

-Adam Cole heads to the ring after his return at WrestleDream. Cole tells the rest of the Undisputed Kingdom that he loves them but that he has to do this on his own. He talks about being so damn happy but they would rather him talk about MJF and says that life is filled with shades of grey. Cole talks about how without trust you have nothing and says there might be a lot of things but stupid is not one of them and you shouldn’t trust someone like MJF. He says that is the real MJF, the one who has terrorized this company for 5 years and pretends to say he cares about AEW when all he cares about is himself. He says everything about MJF is fake including his hair which took two surgeries. MJF is a scared insecure, little boy and tells everyone in this arena or at home to go and trash MJF, he will pretend he doesn’t care when in reality he’ll be crying in his hotel room. He continues that MJF is a phony and can’t be trusted and everybody in that locker room is smiling and agreeing. Cole continues talking about the locker room being hungry and will carry AEW to the future. The path that MJF is on is nothing but failure and loneliness and he thinks that he’s someone special and the best there’s ever been in AEW but he swears that everybody hates him. He hates everything about MJF and suggests fighting there right now in San Jose.

-MJF’s music plays but he doesn’t come out as we then cut to a video of MJF. MJF says he’s learned a lot and as a multi millionaire, there’s been a lot of gain. Learning the hard way that there’s no such thing as trust and there are jackals in professional wrestling, waiting for you to trip so they can chew them up and spit them out. Cole tricked him and stabbed him in the back, leaving a void in him forever and he will never trust again. The man he is today isn’t his fault but Cole’s and this void he made is his. He tells Cole he will never get him in the ring and he will die with a void of unfilled vengeance and for that empty sad cold little life, he can thank him later. Cole says that MJF can run but he can’t hide and he promises him when he gets his hands on him he will give him the ass beating of a lifetime and wish that they never met.

-We go to footage after WrestleDream where Renee Paquette was with Chris Jericho after his match Jericho says he feels vindicated as this is the week of Chris Jericho co-starring in the #1 movie in America in Terrifier 3. He was supposed to be the ROH World Champion but Mark Briscoe cheated to win that match, he wants his rematch and anxiously awaits his response and he will become a 2x ROH World Champion, just like Jay Briscoe.

-We go live with Renee Paquette with Briscoe & says Jericho is known to say a lot of dumb stuff and because Jericho keeps mentioning Jay, he will have his match and next week on Dynamite they will have a Ladder War match for the ROH World Title but tonight let the ass whooping commence as FTR walk into the picture ahead of their match.

Stokely Hathaway walks in and says Private Party could have had him in their corner and next they challenge and lose, Private Party is done and says everyone knows Isiah Kassidy is the singles star anyway and walks off. Kassidy says if that’s what it takes, that’s what it takes.

-After the break we go back to The Elite as TNT Champion Jack Perry says today is a special day because it is Kenny Omega’s birthday. Perry talks about Omega having 20 feet of intestines removed and reveals a Happy Birthday Kenny cake that they then dump intestines on top of. Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada says Happy birthday, bitch as Perry says Omega can die, he doesn’t care.

The Elite (AEW World Tag Team Champions Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson & Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada) vs. The Conglomeration (Kyle O’Reilly, Orange Cassidy & Rocky Romero)

Kazuchika Okada takes out Rocky Romero with a Tombstone before tagging out to Nicholas Jackson.

He immediately tags out to Matthew Jackson as they hit a double team back elbow on Kyle O’Reilly before pumping up their Reeboks.

O’Reilly questions what they are doing and just tags out to Orange Cassidy.

He leaps over them and takes Okada off the apron before taking out Young Bucks with a double hurricanrana followed by Stundog Millionaire on Okada.

Everybody else joins in next. Cassidy goes to hit Orange Punch but gets attacked by Wheeler Yuta causing the disqualification.

-After the match Trios Champions PAC & Claudio Castagnoli join Yuta in beating down The Conglomeration with PAC using a case to choke out O’Reilly. Jon Moxley & Marina Shafir join the ring as they all start stomping out on Cassidy. Top Flight & Action Andretti runs out to stop them, but they all get taken out including Shafir choking out Darius Martin before Moxley takes him out with Death Rider. The Elite watches on from the ramp as Dark Order runs past them asking how they are letting this happen. Jack Perry walks out to take the rest of The Elite to the back. Shafir starts choking out Alex Reynolds with a belt against the ring post as PAC & Castagnoli set up steps by him. Moxley says if anyone is involved with All Elite Wrestling, you are under attack as PAC & Castagnoli drive the steps into Reynolds. Moxley says this is just the cost of doing business before leaving back out through the crowd. Daniel Garcia, Christopher Daniels & Private Party run out after to check on everybody who was taken out.

-Tony Schiavone is in the ring and brings out Don Callis & he comes out with Lance Archer & Brian Cage, & Callis starts by saying since they’ve had such a great week, they should have a press conference but since there’s no such thing as real journalists in wrestling, he will answer his own questions. Callis says he wants the AEW World Tag Team Titles and there are no better guys to take them than Cage & Archer before he brings out Kyle Fletcher & new International Champion Konosuke Takeshita. Callis says Takeshita is going to go to every corner of the globe to defend the International Title as Takeshita gets on the mic and speaks Japanese before saying he will defend the title all over the world and tells all the wrestlers if they want his belt to come and take it. Fletcher gets on the mic and says all that he has heard is Why, Kyle, Why? and says that’s the problem as everybody wants to talk about Will Ospreay when the Don Callis Family is having their biggest night in history. Fletcher says too bad to those who want to know why he did what he did. Callis says The Don Callis Family has never been stronger than today.

Anna Jay steps in and gets in her face but accidentally slaps Christopher Daniels in the scuffle.

-Renee Paquette is in the back with Ricochet and asks if he was too focused on Will Ospreay at WrestleDream.
