WrestleMania No Longer Top Priority For London, England

WrestleMania in London? Maybe not.

NFL Takes Priority Over WWE

WWE WrestleMania is a massive event each year for wrestling fans and cities who all look to bring the extravaganza to their home, not only for the event itself, but to draw more people into their city and drive up business in local hotels, restaurants and wherever else money is made. Earlier this year, officials from London, England showed interest in having WrestleMania in their country for the first time. But, sadly for U.K. fans, it may not be as soon as originally thought.

Per Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE WrestleMania is a no longer the top priority for London as the NFL has expressed interest in hosting the Super Bowl in Wembley Stadium. The NFL has ran several football games in England last season and this season already and the crowds are always jam packed, regardless of the team. The Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event on American soil, hugely surpassing WrestleMania. So, if money wants to be made for the city, having a Super Bowl is your best bet.

This upcoming Super Bowl will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana. But, the one after could be held in London, England, which does not bode well for WWE WrestleMania.
