One announcer is out, another potentially in?
Lilian Garcia Returns?
Earlier today, there was a shock to the WWE and their fans as ring announcer Samantha Irving announced she is done with the company. Usually, Samantha ring announces Monday Night RAW, and with the show just hours away, what does WWE have in store for their announcing duties? Well, Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp broke news via social media that former long time WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia is backstage for tonight’s show in Philadelphia, PA.
Lilian worked with WWE from 1999, all the way until 2009 before taking a hiatus. She then returned in 2011 until 2016. Since then, she has had sporadic appearances for the company. It’s not confirmed if she will announce tonight’s show, and if so, if it’s a full-time gig. But, Garcia is well liked by WWE fans and would be a welcomed return.
