Swerve Strickland: Orange Cassidy And I At Double Or Nothing 2022 Made Tony Khan Start To Believe In Me

Swerve Strickland talks about the boss.

During a sitdown interview with No-Contest Wrestling Podcast, former AEW World Champion, Swerve Strickland talked about Tony Kha, the CEO and co-owner of All Elite Wrestling who is in charge of what happens next for the company. Strickland opened up and said that he believes the ending to his matches with Orange Cassidy at Double or Nothing, and Hiroshi Tanahashi on AEW Dynamite are what opened up the idea for Khan to keep pushing Strickland to the top throughout the next two years.

“We’re going back and forth and he’s about to hit High Fly Flow, but he slips off and I run up and I start fighting him. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, and he knocks me off and he hits High Fly Flow and wins.” – Strickland said about his match with the legendary Tanahashi.

Strickland is set to return to in-ring action on October 30 against Shelton Benjamin on AEW Dynamite.
