Victoria Yuzuki has less than a year of experience in the world of Joshi Puroresu and the word superstar is already being used to describe her talents.

Currently with Rossy Ogawa’s rapidly growing promotion Marigold, Yuzuki has been billed as the future ace of the company. Victoria Yuzuki started her career with STARDOM before leaving the promotion to join Marigold.

Some of the accolades she has received in her very young career has been winning the 2004 Marigold DREAM STAR GP Skill Award, being named 2003 STARDOM Rookie Of The Year and was ranked 208 in the PWI Women Top 250. It is the author’s belief that Marigold will be in excellent hands with Victoria Yuzuki when she becomes the true ace of the promotion.

Victoria Yuzuki graciously granted an interview to Bodyslam.net’s Lewis Carlan as they discussed her recent Marigold Twin Star Championship and Marigold Superfly Title opportunities, who her dream opponents are, how much of an influence Rossy Ogawa has been to her, if she feels she in the future Ace of Marigold and much more!

Here is the full Bodyslam.net exclusive interview with Marigold superstar Victoria Yuzuki:

Q: On October 24th, you and Kizuna Tanaka challenged the Marigold Twin Star Champions MIRAI and Mai Sakurai in what was an incredible match. Unfortunately, you and Tanaka did not win. How disappointed was it that you and Tanaka did not win the titles?

Victoria Yuzuki: I was more disappointed than discouraged. I had a goal to win the Twin Star belt between the two of us, and I was determined to win it from MiraiSaku this time. I wanted to prove that we are the present and future of Marigold. So I am very disappointed.

Q: What does the future hold for the tag team of you and Kizuna Tanaka? Will you two continue working as a team and be looking for another Marigold Twin Star title opportunity?

Victoria Yuzuki: Of course, we have a goal that we want to achieve, so we will continue to work as a tag team to aim for the Twin Star belt, and we will keep challenging until we win it.

Q: At only 19 years old, you possess a tremendous amount of talent and skils. People call you the future ace of Marigold. How does that make you feel and do you believe that you are the future ace of Marigold?

Victoria Yuzuki: If there are high expectations for me, I will definitely live up to them. I have been saying that I will be the future ace of Marigold ever since the banner launch. I have always said that I would be the future ace of Marigold. So I will surely become the future ace of Marigold.

Q: You challenged Natsuki Showzuki for the Marigold Superfly Title on October 7th and the match ended in a time limit draw. Do you feel you deserve another opportunity at the Marigold Superfly Title?

Victoria Yuzuki: I think so. No, I will definitely challenge.

Q: What are your feelings for Natsuki Showzuki?

Victoria Yuzuki: The opening match of DREAM STAR GP was against Natsumi Showzuki, and it was a 15-minute draw. That is why I want to continue to fight Natsumi until I reach a decision. I want to win the Superfly belt from Natsumi Showzuki. So I want to keep holding it until she fights with me for the belt again.

Q: Do you have any future goals of competing overseas representing Marigold?

Victoria Yuzuki: Yes, very much so. It is one of my dreams to fight abroad.

Q: As you have been a professional wrestler for less than a year, are you satisfied with the way your career is progressing?

Victoria Yuzuki: I am not satisfied at all yet. I would like to aim higher.

Q: How much of an influence has Rossy Ogawa been to you and your career?

Victoria Yuzuki: I think he has had such a big influence on me that I feel that I have grown so much in my career because of him.

Q: You have been wrestling for less than a year, why did you decide to become a professional wrestler?

Victoria Yuzuki: I used to watch only men’s professional wrestling, but one day I saw Stardom on YouTube and learned about women’s professional wrestling and I wanted to shine in the ring as well. I wanted to shine in the ring and inspire the people watching me. I wanted to be a pro-wrestler from there.

Q: Do you have any dream opponents? If so, can you name some of them?

Victoria Yuzuki: Yes, Ricochet, Mayu Iwatani.

Q: Thank you Yuzuki-san! Good luck for the rest of 2024, good luck in 2025 and good luck for the rest of your career!

Victoria Yuzuki: Thank you! We have only a few more days left in 2024, but we will keep pushing forward with all our might until the end of the year! Thank you always for your support!
