Booker T: My Decision To Leave TNA Was Because I Knew Eric Bischoff And Hulk Hogan Were Coming In
Booker T. opened up about his departure from TNA.
In 2010, Booker T. decided that it was time to move on from his chapter with Total Nonstop Action. But, that decision did not come from the fact that he felt like he was good with what he had done with them, the decision came because he knew Dixie Carter would be bringing in two people from his past who did not leave a good impression on the former WCW and WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
“I left right before they [Bischoff and Hogan] came in and I knew exactly what was getting ready to happen,” said Booker T about Hogan and Bischoff joining TNA. “I didn’t think it was going to be good, I didn’t think it was going to be good for me, that was really one of the reasons why I said, ‘My time was up.'” Booker T said on his Hall of Fame podcast.
Kevin Nash followed in Booker T’s footsteps where the two would depart and return to the Royal Rumble where they would give fans a moment to remember.
