Trick Williams Says He Told WWE He Wanted To Base His Theme Song Off Of ‘Family Ties’ By Kendrick Lamar And Baby Keem
Top of the morning.
During his build to the top, Trick Williams wanted to make sure everything was perfect from his finishing move to the music he walked out to which is why he came to the WWE with the song ‘Family Ties’ by Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar before telling them he wanted his theme song to be based off of that banger.
“At the PC in Orlando, against Ilja Dragunov (match two), I got the theme changed. I got the instrumental and I told them I wanted to base the beat off a Kendrick Lamar song called ‘Family Ties.’ They came back with that instrumental beat and it was magical for me. My first time having a match at a PLE outside of Orlando was at No Mercy in California, and that’s the first time I realized, ‘We’re global with this.’ The people really love the Whoop That Trick movement. Since then, it’s taken off like a rocket.” Williams said while speaking to Tom Fallon of The Happy Hour.
This would build Williams a huge wave of momentum when the crowd would chant ‘Whoop That Trick’ once he came out and made it mandatory for every entrance he is in.
Williams recently defended the WWE NXT Championship against Ethan Page at Halloween Havoc in a Devil’s Playground match.
