Dempsey vs. King
Charlie Dempsey defended his Heritage Cup on WWE NXT against Lexis King. At Halloween Havoc, it was revealed that King would have William Regal in his corner, who’s the father of Dempsey, since Charlie has No Quarter Catch Crew. Charlie Dempsey scored the first fall with 35 seconds left on the clock.
In the second round, Dempsey started off hot and was all over King, but Lexis was thrown to the outside and landed bad on his knee, causing the referee and doctors to check on him at ringside. We come back from a commercial to see King forcing back into the match, with the 2nd round’s timer expiring, so, still 1-0. In round three, Dempsey immediately targeted Lexis King’s knee. Dempsey got another fall to retain the Cup.
