Adam Cole: I Have A Lot Of My Career Left, I Still Hope To Win The AEW World Championship

Adam Cole wants to be at the top.

Unfortunately, due to an ankle injury, Adam Cole was never able to get the finish he wanted against the former AEW World Champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Now, after months of waiting to return, Cole looks like he will be on the verge of ending his feud with MJF and focusing on things that’ll involve the World Championship in his hands one day.

“In the world of professional wrestling, there are constantly different ideas being thrown around or changes constantly. Do I know for sure that I was going to be in line to becoming the AEW World Champion? I’m not totally sure. That’s certainly where it seemed like we were going. That’s certainly the direction I think, very possibly, could have happened had I not been injured, which really did add to the mental anguish of the entire process. There are constant roadblocks thrown in our way all the time. We have to adapt and pivot. I still have a lot of my wrestling career left, so I certainly hope the AEW World Title is in my future in the future,” he said to James Stewart on Stick To Wrestling.

Cole had his first match after recovering from his ankle injury where he picked up the win over Buddy Matthews on the Halloween Eve edition of AEW Dynamite.
