He may be the only hope, later on.
Tim Welch Clarifies
Tim Welch took to twitter to say Bo Nickal might be the only hope vs Khamzat following Chime’s UFC 308 win over Robert Whittaker. Tim, former fighter and now coach to Sean O’Malley, clarified that statement after receiving backlash for it under his post. Welch spoke on his and O’Malley’s YouTube podcast to clarify exactly what he meant.
I tweeted, ‘Bo Nickal might be our only hope.’ [People] were fired up about that. I didn’t mean Bo Nickal right now, [I] feel like Bo Nickal right now might get beat up by Khamzat.
Tim continued on to express a timeframe for his reaction.
But in a year-and-a-half, if Bo keeps developing his striking, he’s one guy who could match his wrestling in the middleweight division,
There’s a possible chance Khamzat could be next or at least soon up for a Middleweight Title shot. As for the undefeated Bo Nickal, he’s set to face Paul Craig at UFC 309 in New York on November, 16.
