Omos: The WWE House Shows I Did In 2023 Helped My Growth, I Am Ready For Whatever Is Thrown At Me

Omos is ready for what’s next.

Omos has done a lot of growing in the WWE. He spent time being the bodyguard to the Phenomenal AJ Styles before being aligned with MVP where he would learn more about how to grow in the business, a journey that Omos has said helped him when he tested the waters on the house shows in 2023 which he said has made him ready for whatever is thrown at him next.

“I think it’s evolved a lot. I started off as AJ’s heater and then went on to do my own thing. Then I got a manager with MVP. He was kind of like my Bobby Heenan in that type of way,” he said. “I think now I’m ready to be on my own and stand as a performer by myself. I’ve learned so much from both of them. With AJ it was figuring out the basics as a performer, knowing how to be a giant. Then MVP was like understanding how to have presents in the ring and just the little things differentiates — for example knowing how to sell in a way that doesn’t feel robotic. MVP pointed out to me like, ‘Hey, you want to make it feel more natural when you sell,’ just the little intangibles. I’m giving me the mic, he’ll cut his promo as a heel, and then he would give me the mic, like, ‘Finish it off.’

“Getting the comfort of speaking out in front of the crowd. All the house shows that I did last year, I think that actually helped me a lot in my growth and I think going forward, I am ready for whatever is thrown at me.” Omos said on a Patreon exclusive Q&A for Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast.

Omos was last on WWE TV this past April where he competed during WrestleMania week on WWE Friday Night SmackDown during the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
