WWE NXT Results & Review (November 6th, 2024)
On November 6th, 2024, WWE NXT is broadcasted live from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a special night live from the 2300 Arena. As WWE NXT takes place from ECW’s Arena, there is a plethora of matches to help bring the intrigue tonight as it battles head-to-head against AEW Dynamite tonight.
Before the show even began, Shawn Michaels announced the partnership between WWE and Noah Global. Yoshiki Inamura was shown spending time at the WWE Performance Center.
-Kicking off tonight’s episode is a hardcore match between Lola Vice and Jaida Parker. It was a match that wasted no time to bring the action. Both Vice and Parker brought ladders into the ring along with trash can lids, and chairs to excite the live crowd early in Philly. Parker is very comfortable in a hardcore environment, so she took control early in the match. Quickly realizing that she can’t match the hardcore intensity of Parker, Vice switched up her approach and utilized her MMA background to break down Parker. It ended up not being enough as Parker stunned Vice with a brick to the face. Parker was able to capitalize and end the match with her finisher “The Barn Burner” for a 1-2-3 count.
-After Parker’s win, it immediately cuts to Ethan Page and Ridge Holland together cutting a promo to promote their upcoming tag team match against NXT Champion Trick Williams and Bubba Ray.
-Following Page and Holland’s promo, it cuts to Kelani Jordan stretching with ECW legend and WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam as they both prepare for their upcoming appearances. After Jordan leaves the backstage room, RVD is attacked by Wes Lee. After the attack, it cuts back to the ring as Je’Von Evans’ entrance hits to prepare for his match against Lee. It cuts to commercial break.
-Coming back from the commercial break, Tony D’Angelo and the D’Angelo family appeared to be in a heated exchange with Nunzio (former WWE wrestler) and the FBI. Nunzio tells Tony D. that the two of them will be facing each other for the NXT North American Championship tonight in Philly. It then cuts back to the ring where Lee enters to begin his match with Evans.
– As expected, Lee and Evans continue the night with high-paced reversals and both flying off turnbuckles and the ropes. Evans took control of the match early with his “bouncy” moves. The two would go back and forth for a while. Lee hit Evans with the Cardiac Kick early on, but it wasn’t enough to put Evans away. With frustration building, Lee tried to get disqualified by grabbing a chair to take out Evans, but the referee caught him and took the chair from him. Lee took over the match, but as soon as he got control, RVD comes out to try and get his revenge on Lee for attacking him earlier. ‘R-V-D” chants surround the 2300 Arena. With RVD’s help Lee is laid out in the ring and to pay homage to RVD, Evans does a frog splash across the ring on Lee for the victory
-After the match, it cuts backstage to NXT GM Ava, Stevie Turner and Robert Stone who are walking to the ring to make an announcement. During their walk, Eddy Thorpe approaches Ava asking her to speak with her. Ava says they will talk later and continues to walk to the ring. It cuts to commercial.
-Coming back from the commercial break it cuts back to the ring where NXT GM Ava is standing prepared to make her announcement. Before she can say anything, she is welcomed with “Ava” chants from the WWE Universe. She announces that NXT Deadline will take place on December 7th in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Stone cuts off Ava’s announcement and works up the crowd by taunting them and is joined by a surprise guest from ECW’s glory days. ECW legend Rhyno appears in the ring to cut Stone off and gives him the “Gore” to end the segment.
-After the NXT Deadline announcement, it cuts backstage to four of the five women that will main event the show tonight in a 10-women tag team match. Jordynne Grace, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, and Jordan are backstage preparing for their match. They’re eventually interrupted by Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson. Legend and Jackson gloat about their performance at Crown Jewel and it upsets Vaquer, who says they will deal with them. After the promo, it cuts back to the ring as Ethan Page’s entrance music hits. It cuts to another commercial break.
-Immediately coming back from the break, Trick Williams entrance music hits and of course “Whoop That Trick” chants break out. Bubba Ray’s music hits and comes out and gifts Booker T some all black glasses (much like D’Von’s signature glasses). Then the match begins with “ECW” chants throughout the arena. Before the match was really able to gain momentum, it cuts to a commercial break. Unlike the other two matches, the pace begins a little slower with Page and Holland taking control of the match beating up Dudley to begin the match. Williams is tagged in and gains some momentum for his team. Before his momentum builds to much, Holland steals the victory with a roll-up pin on the NXT Champion Williams. Following the match, Page and Holland attack Williams and Bubba Ray helps Williams and the two give us the nostalgia factor with Williams and Bubba Ray as Williams hits the diving headbutt from the turnbuckle. Bubba Ray tells Williams to get the tables, but there weren’t any tables under the ring. The Dudley Boyz music hits and again and D’Von Dudley comes out and helps finish the job by bringing a table with him to the ring. Bubba Ray and Williams put Page through the table and the three celebrate together.
-Following the Dudley Boyz reunion, it cuts backstage to the love drama storyline with Ashante “Thee” Adonis and Karmen Petrovic. The two talk about how they’re tired of each other and Adonis mentions Petrovic’s recent birthday and the two walk away from each other. It cuts to another commercial break.
-Coming back from commercial break, it cuts backstage to the other five women prepared to main event tonight with NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, NXT Women’s North American Champion Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx. The five gloat about main-eventing the show tonight and how they will show who is on top of the women’s division in NXT.
-After the promo backstage, it cuts back to ring as Nunzio walks out to get ready for his match against NXT North American Champion Tony D’Angelo for a shot at the title. Veteran Nunzio takes control of the match early on and hits D’Angelo with the Sicilian Slice, but it wasn’t enough. Getting frustrated by not getting the victory, Nunzio complains to the ref and runs right into the spinebuster from D’Angelo, who pins Nunzio to retain the title. The two shake hands after the match and show their respect for one another.
-After the Nunzio-Tony D. moment after the match it cuts backstage. William Regal is talking with Lexis King and tells him how proud of him he was in his performance last week against his son Charlie Dempsey. King walks away and Dempsey and the No Quarter Catch Crew walk up to Regal and is asked is he his father’s son? Regal left his son something to think about. It cuts to a commercial break.
-Coming back from commercial break, a quick promo by Nikkita Lyons comes on. She explains that she isn’t the same character we’re used to. She appears to be turning heel and says, “I’m taking success for myself, and taking it from everyone else.”
-After Lyons’ promo, it cuts to ringside and shows ECW legend Francine in the crowd to gain excitement for the main event. Fatal Influence’s music hits as all 10 women enter the ring for the 10-women tag team main event match. After all the women come out, it cuts to a commercial break. Coming back from commercial, Jordan and Henley start the match. The team of Vaquer, Giulia, Grace, Jordan, and Zaria dominate and take control of the match early and it cuts to a final commercial break.
-Coming back from commercial, Jayne has helped her team take control of the match and continue what they started at Halloween Havoc with Jordan. Jordan was able to escape the beating as she tags in Grace, who dominates Jade to take back control of the match and chaos occurs with all of the women taking out each other. While they’re all knocked out, Legend and Jackson come out to ringside to enjoy the match a little closer. It helps create a distraction for Perez and Jade to take back control of the match for their team. Zaria tries to spear Perez, but Perez moves out of the way and she spears her teammate Grace instead. Perez tries to capitalize on the opportunity, but Zaria hits Perez with the F-5 and pins the NXT Women’s Champion Perez to end the night. The five women of Jordan, Grace, Vaquer, Giulia, and Zaria end the show by standing in the rung with their hands raised.
