Robelis Despaigne Signs With Karate Combat, Set To Debut At Karate Combat 51
Robelis Despaigne has a new home.
Karate Combat
Robelis Despaigne was recently released from UFC. With a 5-2 record, the massive heavyweight went 1-2 in UFC before being let go. Now, the Olympic medalist in taekwondo has found a new home in. Karate Combat. Standing a 6-foot-7, the giant of a man had much success on the feet. But, the wrestling game caused him issues in the UFC cage. Now, he won’t have to worry about that in the Karate pit.
Karate Combat took to their social media to reveal Robelis Despaigne has signed with the company and will debut at Karate Combat 51. As of this moment, that event doesn’t have an official date, but they do have an upcoming event in December that could end up being the day. An opponent wasn’t named either.
We’ve signed @thebigboyufc to our heavyweight division and he will be debuting at KC51 😳
Robelis has an insane track record with all his professional fights ending with a first round KO and with Robelis being a taekwondo Olympic Medalist winner he will surely bring something to the pit we havn’t seen before 👀
Welcome Robelis, we’re excited to have you in KC 🤝
Robelis did earn a 50k bonus in his UFC debut earlier this year after getting a TKO in the first round. He recently lost to Austen Lane in October, which resulted in his release. Now, he can try for more success under a new banner.
