Jon Jones: We’ll See Who The Bitch Is On Saturday Night
Jon Jones didn’t like the disrespect.
Jones vs. Miocic
Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic is set for the UFC Heavyweight Championship this Saturday Night at UFC 306 in Madison Square Garden. Leading up to the fight, UFC released a countdown show. During the show, Stipe is shown saying “bring it on, bitch.” Stipe clarified that he was saying it because he was fired up and didn’t mean disrespect. He’s even since apologized for it.
But, Jon Jones took it as unnecessary disrespect, and is seemingly using it to fuel his fire. Now, during the third episode of UFC Embedded, Jon spoke on Stipe’s words and says they’ll find out who the bitch is Saturday night.
I’m watching the countdown with some of my friends, teammates, family and I thought it went really well. I thought we both represented ourselves well, like gentleman and very experienced martial artists and at the end, Stipe told me to “bring it on, bitch. Bitch bring it on.” I didn’t think it was necessary. This is the fight game, if he thinks I’m a bitch, you know, he has to back that up, now. I’m sure that’s a lot of pressure. He has to back that up. We’ll see. We’ll see who the bitch is on Saturday night. Simple as that.
Whether it was true disrespect or not, it doesn’t matter come Saturday night, November 16 when the cage door closes. You can see the full card for UFC 309 here.
