Cody Rhodes To Battle Kevin Owens At Saturday Night’s Main Event

Kevin Owens has been on a rampage in recent months. Ever since Cody Rhodes teamed with Roman Reigns, Owens has been determined to take down the WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. Even when a mutual friend in Randy Orton tried to intervene, Kevin lost it on Orton and hit him with a PileDriver, putting him on the shelf.

This past week on SmackDown, Cody Rhodes has had enough and wanted to challenge Kevin anywhere, any time. Whether that be the upcoming Survivor Series, or December’s Saturday Night’s Main Event. Kevin Owens said it’ll happen on his time, when he wants.

Well, it seems Kevin Owen’s wants Saturday Night’s Main Event. Today, WWE officially announce that Cody Rhodes will defend the WWE Championship against Kevin Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14th in Long Island, New York. The event will air on Peacock and NBC. Tickets are still available.

Saturday Night’s Main Event first started in 1985, which the inaugural event being in Long Island, New York. WWE ran SNME events multiple times throughout the year and carried on until 1992. The event then returned in 2006, going on until 2008, where they had their last show. Now, it returns again in 2024 in the same place where it all started, Long Island, New York.

So far, no other matches have been announced for the event. But, we’ll keep you updated.
