Jamie Hayter Advances In The International Women’s Cup Qualifier
Jamie is looking to compete in Japan.
Jamie Hayter vs. Queen Aminata
Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata battled in the first of two International Women’s Cup Quarter-Finals matches. AEW, ROH, CMLL and Stardom are all holding qualifying matches with the finals all competing at Wrestle Dynasty in Japan. One woman will represent each brand and the winner will get a title shot against any champion of their choosing.
Aminata and Hayter kicked off AEW’s side of the tournament on tonight’s Dynamite. Hayter was in control early, but Aminata is no slouch and battled back. Both girls came to fight and fought back and forth leading into commercial break.
As we returned, Queen Aminata was starting to take charge and landed a nasty kick Hayter that knocked her out of the ring. Aminata then send Jamie face first into the canvas, and then went up top. She tried for a stomp, but Hayter moved out of the way and nailed Queen with a back breaker. She then followed up with some unsuccessful roll-up attempts before hitting a big kick to the face followed by her signature Hayter-aid for the win. Jamie will face the winner of Willow Nightingale vs. Serena Deeb in the finals.
Following the match, the lights went dark, then spotlight appeared at the top of the stage. No one appeared. Just taunting Jamie Hayter.
