WWE Adds SmackDown to Royal Rumble Weekend in Indianapolis, Expanding Indiana Partnership

As WrestleMania 41 approaches, WWE is building anticipation with a series of events leading up to the grand spectacle. The company has announced a special edition of Friday Night SmackDown to be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on January 31st, just one night before the Royal Rumble emanates from Lucas Oil Stadium.

This exciting addition to Royal Rumble weekend marks the beginning of a larger partnership between WWE and the Indiana Sports Corporation. Indianapolis will host three major WWE stadium events in the near future, starting with the 38th annual Royal Rumble. Lucas Oil Stadium is also slated to host both WrestleMania and a two-night SummerSlam down the line.

This collaboration will bring a wave of WWE action to Indiana, with episodes of Raw, SmackDown, and NXT scheduled to take place in arenas across the state. The newly announced SmackDown at Gainbridge Fieldhouse is just the first in this exciting lineup.

With the Royal Rumble and a special SmackDown taking place on back-to-back nights, Indianapolis is set to become a wrestling hub for fans eager to witness the excitement on the road to WrestleMania 41.
