Alexandre Pantoja Retains UFC Championship, Calls Out Demetrious Johnson

Alexandre Pantoja is unstoppable!

UFC 310 Main Event

UFC 310 was live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is headlined by Alexandre Pantoja vs. Kai Asakura for the UFC Flyweight Championship and it went off without a hitch.

The fight kicked off with fast pace action, as Flyweights typically do. Kai Asakura cake out the gate with a flying knee that landed and had Pantoja second guessing his takedown attempts. Then, a nice right hand landed for Pantoja and dropped the challenger. As the round went on, Kai was working the leg kicks and Pantoja continued to march forward.

The second round started with much of the same, but Pantoja had the clinch control and eventually fully secured a takedown, leading to him taking Kai Asakaura’s back and choking the challenger out with a rear-naked choke to retain his gold.

Following the fight, Alexandre Pantoja was asked what’s next. He’s cleared out the division, he’s beating a debutant, now what? Well, how about a GOAT? Pantoja says he knows Demetrious Johnson retired recently, from ONE Championship, but if he wants to come back and test himself against the new GOAT, he’s ready.

It seems like no one can put a stop to Pantoja, but would the former UFC Flyweight Champion and world renowned Flyweight greatest of all time be up for the challenge? Would you be interested? It’s certainly a possibility!
