Lance Storm On Recent TNA Releases & Business Heading Into 2025: “Many Of Them We Weren’t Doing Much With”
Recenty, TNA has had its fair share of roster news, including a few names that will reportedly be departing the company at the end of the year when their contracts expire. Among those names are: Trent Seven, Kushida, Rhino, Jennifer “Jade” Chung, Steph De Lander, and Aiden Prince. These departing talent are reportedly due to them being asked to either take a pay cut or the same pay, but with less dates in their new contracts.
With this being the talk of doom and gloom for the company, TNA producer/agent Lance Storm was able to shed some light on the situation.
Speaking on Figure Four Daily, ex-WWE star Lance Storm was asked what’s really going on behind the scenes in TNA, where he currently works as an agent, and says despite suggestions otherwise, the company is on an upswing:
From all the accounts I have heard business has been going up. Our attendance has been going up, our TNA+ subscriptions have been going up, the views on our specials and pay-per-views have been going up. From all accounts I can tell, our business is doing well.
Dave [Meltzer] talks about ‘Well everybody’s cold, the ticket sales aren’t good.’ Our ticket sales are currently the best they’ve been in my three years in the company. Obviously we’re not selling out stadiums and arenas like WWE but per TNA, I’ve been there for three years now and the pandemic before that, this is the best our ticket sales have been in, I think, the last five years, probably closer to ten. So I think TNA is doing well.
As far as the people seemingly on their way out of TNA, Lance Storm discusses seeing that as a credit to the company for giving them the platform to get themselves over and for some others, he thinks the company won’t be losing out on much with their departures:
The rumours that Josh [Alexander] is going to experiment with free agency and there’s the rumours Jordynne Grace is leaving and Speedball Mike Bailey has finished up. A case can be made – and I don’t want to shortchange the hard work and talent of these three individuals because they’re obviously fantastic. But their success is also a credit to TNA for giving them a platform, booking them well, allowing them to grow and become these great performers.
So if they do end up leaving, it’s a credit to the company doing things well but clearly we don’t have the deep pockets of a Tony Khan or a TKO. I think it’s inevitable that the talent that we best get over and they get over, again I don’t wanna take credit away from them, that’s a natural progression.
Others that apparently are finishing up, many of them we weren’t doing much with so I think TNA is still in really good shape. I think we’ve had a really good 2024 and I’m optimistic for a really, really good 2025.

As far as talent signings go, 2024 has been pretty good for TNA. Since January of this year, they’ve signed:
-The Hardy’s
-Mike Santana
-Steve Maclin (re-signed)
-Ace Austin (re-signed)
-Ash By Elegance
-Heather Reckless
-Lei Ying Lee (the former Xia Li in WWE)

With their next PPV, TNA Genesis, right around the corner, there’s a pretty good chance that we’ll see some new names coming into the company over the next few months, as well as the likely returns of KiLynn King and hopefully Killer Kelly.
