AEW Continental Classic 2024 Analysis and Post-Match Results: Rounds 2-4, Weeks 2-4

The last 3 weeks of the Continental Classic has been nothing but upsets and rising stardom coming into play, as the tournament rolls on, with World’s End getting closer. That day, the league and tournament finals will be held as we crown the winner of this tournament, and the Continental Classic Championship continues to gleam into the eyes of the competitors.

For those who are following along and want to know the results and analysis of Week 1 of the tournament before we head onto weeks 2 through 4, they are right here.

With the changes of the tournament after week 1, some key points in this tournament will no longer be reported.

Here is the updated format of the table of contents for the duration of the tournament.

[NEW] – New participant for the tournament.

[××× C2] – a returning participant

[W/PF] – win by pinfall

[L/PF] – lose by pinfall

[W/SUB] – win by submission

[L/SUB] – loss by submission

[TMD] – time limit draw

The [LYBF] (last year by faction) point of content will no longer be reported in this tournament, as Komander has replaced Juice Robinson after week 1 of the tournament due to injury. This point was to compare Juice’s C2 record vs Jay White’s C2 record of the first tournament, as they are currently in the same faction (Bang Bang Gang).

In place of that, the duration of time per match will be recorded from now on, so you can get a closer insight on how even a single second can change the trajectory of how many points the participants can receive, from 3 points for a win to 2 points due to a TMD (time limit draw).

Also, the [LY] (last year) point of content will also no longer be reported, and as much as I would like to continue comparing what some of the returning participants has done with this year’s tournament with the last one, it would not be as seen as relevant at this time. However, a separate analysis of the returning competitors to see if they have improved their ranks from the first tournament to the second tournament will be reported in the coming weeks after World’s End.

Without further ado, let’s see how the Continental Classic fares with these past 3 weeks.
