AEW Championship Match
AEW Dynamite Maximum Carnage was headlined by a AEW World Championship Match between champion, Jon Moxley and Challenger, Powerhouse Hobbs. Hobbs won the Men’s Casino Gauntlet Match and earned this shot.
Hobbs and Moxley started off hot, with Moxley trying to chop the big man down. Of course, Hobbs won’t go down so easily. During the match, it seemed as if Hobbs may have ripped Moxley’s earring out and it caused Moxley’s ear to bleed pretty badly.
Hobbs had the win right in his grasp, but the Death Riders caused a distraction, allowing Marina to hit Hobbs with a briefcase, which led to Moxley getting the win and retaining his title. After the match, the Death Riders attacked Powerhouse Hobbs and smashed his knee in a steel chair before Cope and FTR ran down to run them off.
