As you probably know by now, former WWE Superstar & former IWGP Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho made a huge surprise appearance at the conclusion of today’s AEW Double or Nothing Rally in Jacksonville.
Jericho officially announced that he is “ALL IN with All Elite” and formally signed his contract with the company.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Chris Jericho and revealed that he was in talks with WWE about potentially returning to the company as recently as last week.
Regarding Chris Jericho being in talks with WWE, Meltzer said:
“He had talks with WWE as recently as right before I left for Japan so this is a recent thing.”
However, as we saw today that is no longer in the cards for Jericho, as he has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling.
