WWE is doing all they can to lockdown talents from leaving the company, especially now since All Elite Wrestling has recently formed and is looking to acquire as many talents as possible. They are also targeting WWE Superstars whose contracts are running up this year.
It was recently reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE would double the salary of any wrestler who was willing to re-sign “on the spot.”
Now according to Rajah, it has been indicated that the previous report is true and in addition to that, WWE is offering raises up to 50% to non-wrestlers and legends whose deals are up for renewal. It is certain that the superstars whose contracts are expiring this year will benefit due to AEW.
AJ Styles, in particular, has been discussed lately. WWE has been doing all they can to keep him happy so that he doesn’t jump ship to AEW.
