The Miz’s wish was finally fulfilled as he teamed with Shane McMahon and won the Smackdown Live Tag Titles at the Royal Rumble. He made Shane agree to be his partner by bringing up issues with his father, which Shane could relate to.
The Miz’s father was ringside during the match, and celebrate his son’s big title win. Then the new champs continued the celebration backstage. The Miz said it was a dream come true, when talking about winning the tag titles.
“Thank you it is incredible to be with you, one of my dad’s favorites and see him out there smiling, happy. Watching his son do what he could do.”
We will have to wait and see how the team fares as Tag Team Champions. After all, The Bar still has a rematch clause.
