The Undertaker Reported To Be Retired & No Longer Under Contract With WWE

With reports that The Undertaker was not in the plans for WrestleMania 35 or the upcoming WWE Saudi Arabia event, it has led to much speculation about his wrestling future. Well, apparently the reason that The Undertaker is not booked for any WWE events is because his contract with the company has expired.

The Undertaker has removed all references of WWE from his social media accounts recently, and with yesterday’s announcement that he would be appearing at Starrcast II in May it has only fueled the speculation as to what The Undertaker’s status is. On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shed some light on the situation, and revealed that The Undertaker’s contract with WWE has in fact expired.

It had previously been reported that The Undertaker is charging $25,000 per hour for an appearance, or $60,000 for three hours, Meltzer also went on to note that if the Prince wants to see The Undertaker appear when WWE returns to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia then they will probably offer him enough money to potentially change his mind.

Regarding The Undertaker, Meltzer said:

“At least as of a week ago he was not doing either [WrestleMania or Saudi Arabia] and obviously [WWE] can panic and the Saudi Arabia show if the Prince wants him they can offer him so much money to do it, but as of a week ago he was not on either show. So I think he’s retired as a wrestler.”

We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about The Undertaker’s apparent retirement from WWE, or more info about his upcoming Starrcast appearance.
