Daniel Bryan is the WWE Champion right now and he will be defending his title against Kofi Kingston at Wrestlemania. However, that was not what WWE had originally planned.
Wrestling News reports that Mustafa Ali was initially going to challenge Bryan for the title at Fastlane. That didn’t happen even though Ali was in the match since Kevin Owens was inserted as well.
After that Kevin Owens was going to challenge Daniel Bryan for the WWE Title at Wrestlemania. However, due to Ali’s sudden injury and Kofi Kingston’s enormous push and fan support, plans changed.
This just goes to show how anything is possible in WWE and plans can change at the drop of a dime thanks to fans making their voices heard.
We will have to wait until Wrestlemania to see whether Kofi Kingston wins the WWE Championship or not.
