What A WWE Mid-Card Wrestler Gets Paid For Working WrestleMania
WWE still pays wrestlers a downside guarantee and a percentage of the live gate. Wrestlemania paydays are the biggest paydays of the year but everyone gets paid a little differently.
On Tommy Dreamer’s House of Hardcore Podcast, Tommy tells us how much he was paid for his eight-man tag team match at Wrestlemania 23.
Three months later you get paid. I remember opening up the check. It was the largest check I ever received to wrestle. It was like $68,000 for eight minutes of work and all that stress leading up to it. We all got the same amount I believe. I never asked Rob what he got, I wonder what he got cause he was a hired guy. Even the referee got a bonus. I don’t know what the loser’s got, but for me it was like “wow, to do something that you love and to get a check like that is cool.”

That might be the reason why every wrestler wants to get on the Wrestlemania card, no matter where it is. That is probably the biggest check of the year every wrestler will get.
