The Miz Reveals He Required Staples In His Head Following WrestleMania 35 Match
WrestleMania 35 featured a “Falls Count Anywhere” match between Shane McMahon and The Miz, and the two did not disappoint as they battled all over MetLife Stadium.
The match ended with a huge high spot that saw The Miz hit a vertical suplex on Shane from the top of a scaffold down to a platform below, however due to how they landed Shane scored the pinfall as his body was on top when the referee came over for the 3 count.
What many didn’t notice however was the ref having to put on gloves during the match, which is protocol when there is blood. The Miz sustained a cut on his head during the match which resulted in his hair being matted and soaked with blood, which many may not have noticed.
The Miz posted a photo on his instagram account of him and his father following his match with Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 35, and he revealed that he needed staples in his head as a result of the cut suffered during the match. Miz wrote:
“Sometimes winning isn’t defined by a 1,2,3. Last night at #Wrestlemania I whooped Shane all over @mlstadium Today I hurt, I’ve got staples in my head, my body aches but my heart is full knowing I made my dad proud. And there’s no win bigger than that.”
