AJ Styles Says He Has Signed His Last Contract With WWE

With wrestling news being over run with speculation of what WWE roster members want to leave the company, little is said about those who choose to stay.

AJ Styles spent the majority of his career in Total Nonstop Action wrestling. That company changed their name to Impact Wrestling, and are somewhat a laughing stock of a company. They have turned the curve recently but they also produced some of the worst wrestling in the modern era, as well as made very public, very foolish creative and business decisions.

That being said, Styles seems to be very happy with his role and position within WWE. He recently sat down with Newsweek to discuss his future with the company.

I can tell you that this contract that I’ve signed is my last. This is the perfect place for me to be. It’s family-oriented, I have no problem taking my family to the shows. It’s a PG product, which Ienjoy. I’m in the best place I can be for my career.

Styles also commented on what he still wants to accomplish in what will be his last 5 years with the company.

Being the Universal Champion, obviously. There’s a lot of things I want to do and they don’t involve having every belt I can. That’s not what it is. I want to be a household name. I want them to know that when they hear my name they think WWE or when they hear WWE they think AJ Styles. I want to be entertaining and take it to the next level. I want to make people watching from home laugh out loud. There’s a lot of things I want to do and they don’t always revolve around championships. Just to go out there and entertain.

Time will only tell if WWE and AJ Styles become synonymous with each other. It seems that is the path they are on at the moment.
