Joey Ryan Reportedly Turns Down AEW Contract
As most of the top stars in the current crop of independent wrestling stars get signed to exclusive contracts, the fate of one of indie wrestling’s biggest stars still remains unclear.
Joey Ryan is currently in the midst of his “Farewell To The Indies” tour. This tour started after word got out that WWE had offered Joey a contract to become a coach for their NXT brand. Joey has a t-shirt commemorating this tour, which isn’t for sale past the date of May 30th. Even though Joey still has some bookings after that date.
On AEW’s YouTube show “Being The Elite” Joey has been featured weekly looking for “that blonde girl” his former tag team partner Candice LeRae, who is signed to NXT.
Joey was featured in one of the main storylines going into the All In pay per view, making it seem like his future would be with All Elite Wrestling.
