As you may know, WWE Superstar Paige recently suffered a freak injury during a match at a WWE Live Event in Uniondale, NY when she was on the receiving end of a double footed kick to the back of her neck from Sasha Banks. It was reported at the time that she had only suffered a mild stinger, however the injury turned out to be more severe than had originally been thought.
Paige was not medically cleared to compete by WWE Doctors following the injury, and reports came out that the WWE Superstar would not be cleared to return to the ring.
Trish Stratus was recently a guest on Lilian Garcia’s Podcast, and the two discussed Paige’s status with WWE. During the interview Trish says that Paige is now retired as an in-ring performer, and that the company is trying to find something else for her to do.
So far there has been no official announcement from WWE or Paige regarding her retirement. We will keep you updated as more is known about her status with WWE.
