In the mid to late 90’s, World Championship Wrestling had a fetish with having sports stars and talk show hosts wrestle their biggest wrestling stars. No one made a bigger splash in that company from a sports celebrity standpoint than “The Worm” Dennis Rodman.
A member of the NWO, a teammate of Hulk Hogan and even a WCW action figure. Rodman brought a lot of eyeballs to WCW and stayed for more than just his one tag match against NBA player Karl Malone.
It seemed that once this century began, Dennis was done with wrestling and more focused on world relations. He is a US Ambassador to North Korea where North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un has called Rodman a friend.
A teaser video for Rodman’s return showed up on Twitter yesterday for Without A Cause Wrestling. There is a show this Sunday and Rodman’s appearance for the promotion may happen, as you can see in the tweet below. Max Wrestling is the owner and promoter of Without a Cause.
This may just be a fun parody video of Rodman’s time with the NWO, or it might tease his return to the squared circle. We will know more come Sunday.
