IMPACT Wrestling Licenses Broken Universe Footage To WWE
PWInsider is reporting that IMPACT Wrestling is licensing material from Matt & Jeff Hardy’s time with the company to WWE to be used in their future projects. The footage primarily consists of the “Broken Universe” content, which spanned the majority of a year of IMPACT Wrestling TV.
While it is not currently known what WWE plans to do with the video content from Impact, but the report from PWInsider did note that there are plans for a WWE 24 special on The Hardy’s, as well as a new DVD collection planned.
It is also very possible that some of the content WWE has purchased the license to could make its way to WWE television in the future. If WWE decides to expand the Woken Matt Hardy character, it would be good for them to have some back footage to reference to help introduce the WWE Universe to whom many may not have knowledge of the Broken Universe. However this is all speculation, as nothing is currently known what WWE plans to use the footage for.
All that is known at this time, is that WWE has purchased licensed footage from IMPACT Wrestling regarding the Broken Universe, and that WWE has future plans for Hardy projects lined up.
