On Tuesday it was announced that Bruce Prichard would be the new Executive Director of Smackdown and Eric Bischoff has been dismissed of his duties.
According to the Wrestling Observer, the news was not a shock to anyone that was close to the situation.
The Observer and PWInsider were informed on Tuesday that Eric Bischoff has been released from WWE following a creative meeting in Stamford Connecticut for Smackdown.
Since Bischoff wasn’t an on-air talent the belief is that he doesn’t have a 90-day no-compete contract and can pop up at whatever company he’d like to.
