WWE made the decision to put the Universal Title on Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36 as he defeated Goldberg after being a replacement for Roman Reigns who pulled out of the event due to coronavirus concerns.
WWE has been advertising Braun Strowman’s appearance on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live, and we may now know who his first challenger for the Universal Title may be.
In the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Braun Strowman and the WWE Universal Title were mentioned, and it was noted that the most logical challenger for the belt would be Bray Wyatt.
“For Strowman, the heel side who he could face has a clear opponent in Wyatt.”
With both WWE Superstars coming out WrestleMania 36 with victories, and with Wyatt never getting his rematch with Goldberg for the title, it would make sense to see The Fiend next in line to face Strowman.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything else about who will be the first to challenge Strowman for his Universal Championship.
