AEW Possibly Postponing Huge Moment Due To No Live Crowds

AEW’s next pay-per-view is All Out, which will be taking place on September 5th. The main event will see Jon Moxley defend his AEW World Title against MJF. However, due to the lack of a live audience, the company could be holding back a huge change.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the fact that the company has held some things back. Certain spots are better when there is a live crowd to witness them. This could include the World Title changing hands.

“They don’t want to peak somebody when there’s no crowd kinda like what happened — they don’t wanna do the Drew McIntyre thing. Nothing against WWE because they had no choice. Lesnar was leaving and everything they had to do what they had to do. We all know if Drew McIntyre would have done it in front of 70,000 people then it would have been very different than him doing it in front of zero people and it’s the same thing for some of these things they’re doing in AEW. Some things really need to get that giant pop and you can’t get that giant pop in this situation so it’s best to save them, but the problem is that ‘what if we’re like this for another year?’”

The COVID-19 pandemic changed many plans the company had. We will have to see what they do at All Out.
