Update On Cody’s Rejected Trademark
In an update on All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President and talent Cody Rhodes’ trademark application for “The American Dream” being rejected, Cody filed a request for reconsideration after final action on August 20th, according to a report from Heel By Nature.
The request from Cody’s team to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) reads, “Applicant and its counsel are bewildered and perplexed as to how the instant application and specimens provided with respect to the Class 041 services could be again rejected. Counsel has filed literally dozens of applications on behalf of professional wrestlers with specimens identical in nature to those filed in respect of the instant application.”
The filing urges the United States Patent and Trademark Office to contact Cody’s legal counsel to resolve any issues with documentation, rather than waste time and resources with the appeal process.
