The IIconics are no more! On Monday Night Raw, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay we’re forced to split up following another loss to Liv Morgan & Ruby Riott. It really was all or nothing in this one, the winning team secured a wwe women’s tag team title shot, and the losing team ‘would be no more’.
The IIconics have been teaming since they first aligned in NXT in 2015, although their relationship goes much further than that, as they were best friends in high school, in Australia. The high point for the duo was undoubtedly winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at Wrestlemania 35.
One reason why WWE have gone this way, could be that Vince McMahon himself is very high on Peyton Royce, and she could now be in line for a big singles push in WWE, according to a report by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
“They had another meeting on 7/31 which lasted four hours. He did talk forever about how much he loves Bayley and her new persona and that he sees Peyton Royce and Bianca Belair as singles stars.”
