Randy Orton Supports Joke On WWE Third Party Ban
WWE’s recent edict preventing their Superstars from doing business with third parties has obviously received a lot of criticism on social media. While it appears the company has loosened up on that ban – allowing Superstars to use their real names with permission – the decision has still been the butt of jokes.
During Monday’s RAW, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre returned to the WWE ThunderDome, commandeering an ambulance to attack Randy Orton. WWE Creative Humor took the opportunity to joke about McIntyre taking another job, a tweet that was liked by Orton himself.
The Viper hasn’t been shy on social media, often using his Twitter and Instagram to prod his fellow Superstars and fans alike.
While Orton didn’t reply to the tweet regarding the third party ban, it indicates how the 9-time WWE Champion feels about the decision.
Initially it was believed WWE performers would have to end their relationships with such third parties as Twitch and Cameo or be subject to fines or possible termination. Industry experts say streaming on sites such as Twitch and YouTube will now be permitted with permission. However, Cameo will be prohibited as WWE is looking to create a similar platform of its own.
