Exclusive: FTR Tells Tony Khan That They Want To Work With Tag Team Champions From Another Promotion
FTR made their debut with All Elite Wrestling back in May, and the former WWE Superstars successfully captured the AEW World Tag Team Championships a few months later when they defeated Kenny Omega and Hangman Page at All Out.
The AEW World Tag Team Champions Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood, FTR recently sat down with Bodyslam.net‘s owner Cassidy Haynes and co-host Dom Mallon for an exclusive interview. The interview covered a range of topics, one of which was who outside of AEW would they like to work with.
The AEW Tag Champs revealed that they would love to wrestle the current IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions, The Motor City Machine Guns – Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. Dax Harwood even went on to say that he spoke to AEW President and Owner Tony Khan about working with the IMPACT Tag Champs. He added that if he and Cash are going to go down as the greatest tag team of all time, that they need to work with the greatest.. and he feels that the Machine Guns are one of the greatest teams of all time.
Harwood also went on to say that they want to wrestle the current NWA World Tag Team Champions, James Storm and Eli Drake.
Is there anybody outside AEW that you would like to bring in to wrestle?
“Just today there was a tweet about us and Motor City Machine Guns and we get those all the time but today I made mention of it [to Tony Kahn] so we’ve spoken about it. I would love to [work with them]. I mean if we’re going to go down as the greatest tag team of all time we need to work with the greatest and they are one of the greatest and we need to beat them to be the greatest.”“You have the North that everyone wants us to work with. Josh Alexander and Ethan Page. The Dawsons. James Storm and Eli Drake, the NWA Tag Team Champions, Tama and T. We want to work with all those guys.”
