After months of not appearing on TV, Tenille Dashwood made her return to IMPACT wrestling. There had been no reason released by Tenille, or IMPACT, on why she wasn’t appearing for the company. Tenille sat down with Fightful to explain,
With the pandemic putting a stop to wrestling, Tenille discussed how her personal wellbeing was more important than wrestling,
“Well, it’s definitely kind of just keeping to myself. Staying on the down low for a while with everything that’s going on. I try and put my own health and happiness first. Which I think everyone should. It’s very important. So, you know, I was just taking care of me and making sure my immune system and everything was in order. I was definitely keeping an eye on everyone and everything that was happening at IMPACT!. Just some huge things have been happening, some big signings. Some huge names. The Knockouts Division is just on fire. So, it got to the point where I was just like, “Man, I miss wrestling and I absolutely love it, and you know what? I’ve been doing a lot of the influencer travel work as well, but it’s time for me to get back in the ring and take that spotlight back,”
With IMPACT making waves in the industry at the moment, Tenille is looking forward to facing some of the new additions to the women’s division,
“Huge signings. Deonna (Purrazzo). I worked with a couple of times previously and she’s just always been an amazing competitor. What’s fun about IMPACT! is that the women in that division absolutely love what they do and there’s no such thing as a lazy person in that company. Everyone oozes that passion for wrestling and the desire to keep improving and getting better and the competitive atmosphere. That’s what makes it so fun. I’ve never stepped into the ring with Kylie Rae. So, I’m definitely looking forward to doing that one day,”
Tenille has spent time in multiple companies, but her heart seems to be in IMPACT. She quotes the passion in the locker room is part of that reason,
“I think it’s one of the most pleasant places I have worked and I think it goes back into what I was just saying,” Dashwood explained. “It’s because everyone is there because they love what they do. So, it is a positive environment where you can have input in what you do. You can look forward to what’s coming next. You can always know there is always something in the works. Me, as a person, I know I have that drive and that passion where I’m always evolving and making sure that I keep people’s attention. So, the combination of all of that makes it a great place to work and I’m so happy that I’m a part of the division right now.”
