IMPACT Wrestling Average Viewership Revealed
According to Wrestlenomics, Impact Wrestling managed an average of 151,000 viewers on AXS TV in the third quarter of 2020.
Impact only averaged 42,000 viewers in the all important 18-49 demographic for the quarter. Comparatively WWE SmackDown, the highest rated wrestling show in the United States, averaged 2.037 million viewers and 683,000 viewers in the key demo over the same period.
It is worth noting that SmackDown airs on a major network in FOX whereas Impact is broadcast on AXS TV who don’t have the same pulling power or financial backing. Impact’s lowest viewership for the quarter was their September 1 and September 8 shows where they only drew 102,000 viewers and a lowly 78,000 viewers respectively while managing 31,000 and 22,000 in the 18-49 demo respectively. It is also worth noting that those two episodes went head-to-head with WWE NXT.
Once NXT moved back to it’s regular slot on Wednesdays, the next two Impact shows rose back up to 170,000 viewers on September 15 and 200,000 viewers on September 22.
