Conor McGregor Says He’s Signed The UFC Contract To Fight Dustin Poirier
Dustin Poirier might be getting that payday he felt he deserved from the UFC. Recently Conor McGregor took to social media to offer Dustin a charity fight outside of the UFC after Poirier pulled out of the UFC 254 card against Tony Ferguson over compensation.
This may have been a ploy for Conor to earn another big pay day, or simply to help out a fellow fighter, but wither way it seems to have worked. Shortly after the tweets came out between the two fighters, Dana White commented that he offered the fight to both men. Apparently, whatever has been offered is at least good enough for Conor at the moment.
One would have to imagine that if it’s good enough for McGregor, Dustin will be paid accordingly. Recently the UFC has had main events cancelled or postponed for upcoming events and a fight of this caliber would have be to right at the top of the post to headline. The two have fought once before in 2014 with McGregor picking up the TKO Victory.
Conor has been posting videos of himself training and Dustin was already preparing for a fight at the end of October. There should be no reason this fight can not happen and draw big money before 2020 comes to an end. Dustin seems to agree….
Ariel Helwani had this to say On the potential fight.
