In the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that there was talk internally of keeping Roman Reigns off of this past Monday’s episode of WWE RAW as “punishment” for his supposed “shoot” interview against Brock Lesnar the week prior.
The plan would have had WWE suspend Roman Reigns for a week as fallout for his promo on RAW the week before, but in the end the decided against idea and ultimately came to the conclusion that it was better for Roman to come out and confront Paul Heyman during his promo.
“Things had gone back-and-forth during the week with the idea of keeping Reigns off the show, perhaps as a one week suspension for “shooting” last week, but the decision was made based on what happened last week, that he should be on the show this week.”
