Rude Boy Riley Sentenced After Pleading Guilty To Possession Of Child Pornography
Independent wrestler Rude Boy Riley was originally arrested in March of 2017 and charged with 10 counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child and 20 counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child.
In an original report by the NY Post, it stated that Twenty photos of children, “some of which were infants,” were found on Riley’s iPhone, Assistant District Attorney Josh Freeman said in court, adding that Riley uploaded the photos to Google and Tumblr.
“The defendant admitted in some substance that he possessed the photographs,” Freeman said. “He uploaded the images to Google and Tumblr and posted them on Tumblr.”
According to a criminal complaint, Riley’s lewd activity dates back to Jan. 2014 in which he allegedly “promoted performances which include sexual conduct by a child less than 16 years of age” and “uploaded at least nine photographs that depict children less than sixteen years of age engaged in sexual acts to the defendant’s Google account.”
Before this all went down in his home state of New York he was a regular fixture in a couple of promotions that were gaining steam. Tier 1 Wrestling and Warriors of Wrestling. When this was first released all the organizations he worked for immediately banned him from working their events. He even had a tryout for WWE at the Performance Center back in 2016 but was not hired.
Riley pleaded guilty last Wednesday in state Supreme Court, to a felony count of possessing a sexual performance by a child. In exchange, Riley will be placed on interim-supervision probation for two years.
If Riley complies with the terms and conditions of his probation, he will be sentenced to five days in jail. Also, Riley must register with state authorities as a sexual offender.
Riley’s next court date is scheduled for April 18th. Riley remains free on $3,500 bond.
Andrew Weinstein, attorney for Riley issued a statement which said, “Mr. Riley looks forward to putting this matter behind him and moving on with his life.”
